To stay on the top of their trade, electricians must ride the leading edge of technology as it applies to their trade and continue to gain knowledge. Just look at what is going on around us. The advances in technology have been incredible and in many ways those advances effect the way electricians aquire and carry out their work.
A simple example is the incandescent light bulb. Who would have thought twenty years ago that an A-lamp would be on the verge of extinction? Not me. The world makes demands and throws a map out for the driving technology. So figuratively speaking, you must leave the incandescent bulb behind and upsell the LED to the customers you encounter on the new road because they have knowledge also and if you do not deliver, you fall behind and they grab the next guy that has the newest crap in the truck.
Humans want new gadgets. From complex smart houses that monitor every watt burned by each and every appliance to the complex instrumentation and control of modern industrial processes, the electrician has to get a handle on it.
National Tradesman is not going to pretend to have what you need to see what is around the next curve. It’s up to you to enthusiastically stay abreast of all the advances effecting the electrical trade. We offer what we currently have and commit to improving over time with more hopefully contributing and helping you acquire a small part of what you actually need to get the whole picture of a continuing education in the electrical trade.
