Lower Explosive Limit (LEL)

Lower Flammable Limit (LFL)

The minimum concentration of a combustible substance that is capable of propagating a flame through homogeneous mixture of the combustible and a gaseous oxidizer under the specified condition of test. The LFL is sometimes referred to as LEL (Lower Explosive Limit). For the purposes of this definition, LFL and LEL are identical.
